Research and development emphasize on the application of techniques and methods
such as applied molecular, cells, biochemistry, biotechnology, functional genomics,
proteome, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, and exploring the forms of animals,
plants, and microorganisms, and to investigate the basic fields of physiology,
metabolism, function, genetic hereditary, regulation mechanism, aging, and
environmental adaptation. Accordingly, we are able to apply part of those knowledge
to industries of aquatic organisms and creatures or cell culture of animals and plants
as the tools of production.
There are more than one hundred faculty members in the college of Life Science. The
college is covered by many professional institutes, which are abundant and diverse.
Each Institute has its own characteristics: covering the different fields of life, plants
and microorganisms; and those magnificent characteristics are from two degree
programs, two departments and five institutes; it¡¦s also covered by theoretical basis
and the part of research of industry technology at the same time.
